Following on from the success of the Gets Festive show, Ash was invited to showcase again at the Kids Fashion Week Gets Spooky event in October 2024.
His spooky themed dress was created from his design by the talented seamstress, Kathryn Pietrowiec, whose son Patrick plays rugby with Ashton. It was modelled by the amazing Emmy (@emmy_gelardibunyi) and she looked incredible!
Ashton travelled to Melbourne with his family, including his little brother, Lucas, who has severe disabilities. Even Lucas took to the runway, in support of charity Super Tees, an organisation that produces superhero themed medical garments for sick kids. Ashton guided his brother down the runway to the absolute delight of the audience!
It was the shared social media coverage of this event and the excitement that surrounded this up and coming young designer that caught the eye of Bonni Sullivan and led her to reach out to Ashton to invite him to her Dreams to Reality Runway show in 2025.
Bonni also put Ashton in contact with the international fashion designer, Norman Acuba (@normanacuba_), that ultimately led to their collaboration and the creation of Ashton’s first runway collection!
