Ashton’s debut into the fashion world happened in July 2024 at the Kids Fashion Week event at the Gold Coast.
Creative director, Terri Svoronos, invited him to attend and have one of his designs modelled, if we could find a seamstress to make it come to life. Thanks to a local seamstress from Brisbane, De-Arne Paulus, Ashton’s Christmas themed dress was created and walked down the runway by Aurora Marskell.
Ashton made an introductory video with the help of Amber from xxx, which was shown at the event prior to the dress being revealed. Terri brought Ashton out on stage to rapturous applause and despite his shyness, he walked with his first model down the runway.
It was a wonderful experience for the then 9 year old Ashton, and he thoroughly enjoyed the whole event. It was his first stepping stone into the fashion world and he made some wonderful connections.
